Anna reported today on the success of the FamilyWorks food drive:
I wanted to update you on our FamilyWorks food drive. We live in a
very generous community. Together we donated 115 items to their food
bank! I wanted to thank you all for your donations. A little from
all of us makes a big difference.
FamilyWorks not only provides food bank services. It also has
tutoring programs, parenting classes, drop in play times at their
great play space, clothing donations for small ones, and much more.
If you have young children and have random diapers that don't fit
anymore or gently worn clothes, they would be passed on to others who
could use them. And if you're looking to tutor, FamilyWorks is always
looking for volunteers. They are located in Wallingford, a quick
drive from here. I am also always happy to pass on any donations that
you have to give. Feel free to leave them clearly marked at our door,
6226 Ravenna Ave NE.

Thanks to Anna and her family for taking the time to organize and collect the donations. Definitely an Obama Moment.
