Ravenna Park January Work Party

| | Comments (1)

Another community service opportunity presents itself on Saturday January 10. Volunteers will again meet from 10:00 to 12:30 to remove invasive plants and plant native species.

Green Seattle Partnership sponsors these work parties and provides the necessary tools. Anyone is invited to join in this worthwhile endeavor, and especially encouraged to attend are the park's near-neighbors.

You can search the Green Seattle Website to find out when a work party will be held in a park near you.

UPDATE:

Seven volunteers showed up for the work party this past weekend. We removed ivy and blackberry north and east of Ravenna Creek.

This work group meets on the second Saturday of every month for 10:00-12:30. Tools are provided. Bring gloves and drinking water.

Join the Friends of Ravenna Park and Green Seattle Partnership.
