Design Review Board Takes the 5th (sort of)

| | Comments (2)

Last week the Northeast Design Review Board was expected to make a decision concerning the fate of one (possibly three) red cedar tree on the site of the Brooklyn Court proposal for 54 units in four stories including some work/lofts/ and some commercial space.

Originally Diane S. of the Department of Planing and Development okayed giving the tree the axe, but an appeal was filed, heard and it was determined that the Design Review Board should make the decision.

"No,not us."

The Design Review Board sent the decision back to Diane S. at DPD, she is expected to rule soon whether to require the developer to redesign to preserve the tree, or go with her original opinion and set the way clear as approved previously. The developer says he will not proceed with project if redesign is required.
