Roosevelt-Ravenna Zoning Meeting

On Monday, October 12 at 7:00 PM at Calvary Christian Assembly, there will
be a meeting to discuss land use and zoning in the Roosevelt Neighborhood.
The Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is conducting a review of
the zoning recommendations made by the Community as part of the 2006
Neighborhood Plan Update.  The report of the Zoning Workgroup from July 2006
is posted at the RNA website at www.rooseveltseattle.org and will also be
available at the meeting on Oct. 12.

The discussion will include, but is not limited to, some of the
properties near 15th Ave NE and NE 65th St.

DPD is expected to make a recommendation to City Council for certain zoning
changes in Roosevelt sometime this Fall.  Following elections in November
and reconstitution of the Council's land use committee, DPD's recommendation
will be discussed by City Council.  This process will most likely include
public hearings, which will be another opportunity for the community to
provide input on land use and zoning in the Roosevelt neighborhood.
