June 2010 Archives

June proved to be a better month than April or May. Four properties have moved into the under contract category. It is nice to see life on this front. Several other properties have new and lower prices. There are buyers in the market, but they are being very selective. There is no pressure on them. There is no tax credit to race for. We still have about a week to go in collecting signatures of people opposed to the Hugh Sisley and Roosevelt Development Groups's proposal to change the Seattle Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map. 300-400 signatures wil be submitted to the Department of Planning and Development recommending that the change not even be considered. Just don't go there. Here are a few of the signature pages: We will be turning in all of the originals collected by July 5th directly to Sally Clark's office. She is the Chair of the Committee on the Built Environment. These signatures will impress... Read more
Due to a mix-up in the date that I made on the previous post, I've decided to make the Petition to request that the Seattle City Council NOT consider application #8: the Roosevelt Development Group's amendment to the Seattle Comprehensive Plan and a change to the Future Land Use Map, this year. The City Council will be deciding which amendment requests to consider at a meeting on July 7th. We will submit the petition before that day so that it becomes a part of the record. It is important to keep reminding the City Council how we feel about development... Read more

If you can't do such work but can provide coffee, cookies, lemonade, etc. credit will be earned just like those in the dirt.
