We still have about a week to go in collecting signatures of people opposed to the Hugh Sisley and Roosevelt Development Groups's proposal to change the Seattle Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map. 300-400 signatures wil be submitted to the Department of Planning and Development recommending that the change not even be considered. Just don't go there.
Here are a few of the signature pages:

We will be turning in all of the originals collected by July 5th directly to Sally Clark's office. She is the Chair of the Committee on the Built Environment. These signatures will impress her and the City Council. Thank you all for signing and showing your support for responsible development in the Roosevelt/Ravenna neighborhood.
In other news, you probably haven't seen these signs around the fruit stand block. They are small and pretty invisible to the passer-by, but they do tell us of the scoping meeting to be held on July 21,2010 at Calvary Christen Church. This is a city sponsered meeting to get feed back on what should be studied for the EIS that is now to start up again regarding the proposed zoning changes in the area. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
