If you have not yet signed the petition that requests the Seattle City Council to remove the Roosevelt Development Group's request to change the Seattle Comprehensive Plan and the Future Land Use Map from consideration this year, you are invited to stop by 6321 17th Ave NE between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Wednesday June 23rd. The petition will be available on the porch.
We currently have about 50 signatures and would like to have hundreds. We don't feel that rezoning the area around NE 65th and 15th Ave NE and Roosevelt High School, to Neighborhood Commercial 3 and heights of 160 feet is in keeping with the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association and the surrounding community is in keeping with the vision of growth that has been discussed here for many years.
