It was sunny this morning and before we noticed the frost on neighborhood roofs, we had decided to head for the University District Farmers' Market. It's only about eight blocks from our house in Ravenna Park and we thought it would be nice to know what the farmers were up to in April. This market is open year around but we hadn't been for a while. So we grabbed a couple of reusable grocery bags and I grabbed my gloves. Marjie was out of town today, so I thought I'd grab a bite to eat at a place I hadn't been before. Cafe Da Pino's neon OPEN sign caught my eye and the parking was easy. This small cafe is crowded with 5 tables and two more outside. The room is mainly filled with a refrigerator case full of delicious looking sausage, cheeses, olives and other good things with which to make a meal.
